at the Bible is the Word of God which guides us in faith and daily life. It shows us the one and only Savior, Jesus Christ, who lived on earth, died on the cross, and rose from the grave to bring eternal life to all who believe and trust in His name. We hold fast to the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther and the other Lutheran reformers as contained in the Book of Concord. These teachings are summarized by three simple phrases: By grace alone; through faith alone; through Scripture alone.

Grace Alone:
We are all sinful human beings who make bad choices, who hurt others through our words and actions, and who daily need help. That is where grace comes in. Because of his love for all humanity, God sent his son, Jesus, to pay the price our mistakes and sins deserve. Jesus died in our place, thus giving us eternal life in Heaven with Him!

Faith Alone:
We receive the benefits of God's love by believing in His promises. God promises eternal life to all who trust in the saving Grace of Jesus Christ. This faith comes by hearing the Word of God.

Scripture Alone:
The Bible is the absolute, true Word of God. It is useful in guiding our lives, comforting us as we face daily struggles, and, by the power of the Holy Spirit, gives us faith and God's grace.
